The Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC) added 3 new partners last September. These are Endesa, Cooper Onnes SL and the Centre International de Mètodes Numèrics a l’Enginyeria (CIMNE). With these new incorporations the cluster approaches the figure of 200 partners, consolidating its role as a reference agent in the energy sector with a sustained growth of the entity in recent years in terms of positioning, projection and leadership.
The list of new incorporations is headed by Endesa, a reference energy company in our country dedicated mainly to the generation, distribution and commercialization of electricity. However, Endesa is also a relevant operator within the natural gas sector and develops other energy-related services.
It also joins the Cooper Onnes SL cluster, a manufacturer of energy-saving equipment in the electricity sector. Founded in 2018 by a group of chemical and electronics engineers, Cooper Onnes SL markets its equipment with the aim of reducing the Kw consumption of companies.
Finally, the arrival to the cluster of the Centre International de Mètodes Numèrics a l’Enginyeria (CIMNE), a research centre dedicated to the development of numerical methods and computational techniques, should also be highlighted. It was born in 1987 at the Politècnica University of Catalonia, in collaboration with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the support of UNESCO, and its aim is to drive the advances in technology and knowledge in the field of engineering and applied sciences.
With these new incorporations, CEEC remains a benchmark entity within the cluster ecosystem and continues to strengthen its central and strategic role within the energy sector....
